Terms of Service

1. About me

This website is operated by Anne Marie Sweeney, trading as Tree of Life Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and work with clients across the island of Ireland.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to book a session. Therapy is not appropriate for crisis situations — if you are in immediate danger, please contact your GP or emergency services (112 / 999), or the Samaritans on 116 123.

3. Bookings, fees & payment

• First consultation: £55 / €65 (50 minutes).
• Ongoing sessions: £65 / €75 (50 minutes).
• Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe.

4. Cancellation & refunds

• Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session for a full refund.
• Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
• If I need to cancel, you will be offered a new time or a full refund.

5. Online sessions

Online sessions are delivered over an encrypted video platform. You are responsible for being in a private, quiet space with a stable internet connection.

6. Limitation of liability

The website is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site is © Tree of Life Counselling & Psychotherapy unless otherwise stated. You may view and share links for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Where you are resident in Northern Ireland or elsewhere in the UK, this does not affect any mandatory consumer-law rights you have in your place of residence.
